Work at the nation
Here follows a short description of the different positions we can offer you if you wish to work (which we hope you do). If you have questions, please talk to our 3Q.
CAFÈ
We have CAFÈ & LUNCH Monday through Friday. When you work in the café you come to the nation at 10am. Together with one of our 3 café hosts, you get the café ready, help customers, and clean up afterwards. Job tasks can include making salad, bussing tables, washing dishes, and making sure the customers are happy.
PUB
We have pub nights 3 nights per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you want to learn how to cook food, serve beer, or just enjoy your time at the nation, then the pub is the place for you. In order to work in a bar at the Friday club you must have previously worked in the pub bar at least 3 times. You can either work in the kitchen helping the kitchen host preparing and making food, or in the bar/door bussing tables, washing dishes, and sitting at the door checking nation IDs. The pub closes at midnight.
STATE OF MIND
State of Mind is our Friday night club at Värmland’s! The whole house is open and we need a lot of happy and energetic workers. There are a lot of different jobs to choose from:
Wardrobe
This is perhaps the most important place to work. If all goes well in the wardrobe, then we avoid angry and unhappy guests. You start working at 4pm getting the wardrobe organized. After you eat dinner with the other workers, the first guests will arrive at 6pm. When all the guests have gone home, it’s time to clean.
Barback
You start at 4pm. When the Upper bar and the kitchen open, you serve hungry guests their food. Otherwise you make sure the rooms look good, in other words: free from dirty dishes, glass, and glass shards. You also make sure the bars have enough clean glasses and supplies. When we close you help with the cleaning.
